12 month contract - Snr Oracle Platform DevOps Engineer

Role can be worked remotely (Candidates MUST BE UK based) but there is an expectation if required for infrequent travel as and when needed to Sheffield

Day Rate inside of IR35 circa £600-£630 (Umbrella)

Successful candidate must have experience and knowledge of OCI (Oracle Cloud Infra.), specifically Oracle Cloud @ Customer and Oracle Functions. You will also have proven experience of API and Platform Engineering Development.

Role will see you responsible for helping to deliver automation around Oracle Database products on various premise platforms in the Oracle Public Cloud.

Tech Experience and Knowledge will need to include:

  • OCI, specifically Oracle Cloud @ Customer and Oracle Functions.
  • Virtualization i.e., VMware VMs, Vagrant, Virtual Box, Docker, Kubernetes.
  • API Development with Python FASTAPI and tooling knowledge (e.g., Postman/ Newman, SonarQube, Cucumber, Terraform etc.)
  • E2E knowledge of build, package, automated testing, and deployment of CI/CD pipelines.
  • Proficient in using Jira / GIT / Jenkins / Confluence / Nexus / Splunk (can create Dashboards) and Kong
  • Secrets Management via Hashi Vault, Jenkins credentials and Ansible Vault.
  • Core Oracle DBA skills with OEM, SQL and PL/SQL considered advantageous.
  • OEL / RHEL, RPMs, Shell Scripting, PHP, Ansible, JSON, YAML and Puppet. Knowledge or RUST is desirable.
